Wireless Facilities Need Not Be Recognizable
Towers and Wireless Facilities Site Can Be ‘Camouflaged’
Concealment refers to the products used to camouflage the telecommunications industry’s towers, antennas and equipment. These products range from simple raydomes to towers that blend with the existing architecture and nature of the community. Many towers need not be recognizable as towers and the options as regards appearance are numerous.

Note: Until recently the industry acknowledged that there will be at least 500,000 new facilities needed in the next 3 - 5 years. It now estimates that as many as 4 to 16 times as many sites may be needed, depending upon the type of service involved (e.g. cellular versus PCS). Imagine the impact of this if the matter is not controlled, and in most states local governments are charged with controlling the matter.
